Sabbia Beach

The first oceanfront development in Pompano Beach in nearly a decade, the design of Sabbia Beach is inspired by the ocean waves and the sandy dunes.

Sabbia Beach was one of the first projects I was assigned after starting full-time at Arquitectonica in 2014. I worked directly with the project manager to develop the project from schematic design through design development and construction documents.

As this was my first time following a project through these later stages, this project was a tremendous learning experience. By the time we were submitting the permit set in June 2015, I was independently leading meetings with the client and consultants to discuss project progress and timeline. It was also my first experience putting together a full construction documents set, in collaboration with the project manager and other team members.
